We have analyzed the impact of individual parameters on latency and bandwidth by Blend: Latency / Bandwidth Dynamics, with a uniform connection latency (50ms).
This document outlines the plan to extend the experiment by introducing diverse connection latencies. It focuses solely on the planning phase. The results of the extended experiment are documented in Blend: Multi-region Latency / Bandwidth Measurements.

.The current simulator has a functionality to distribute nodes across three continents and specify connection latency between continents. However, three continents are not enough to reflect the real-world environment, considering the real distribution of Ethereum nodes.
To accommodate the realistic network distribution, the simulator needs to be updated as below.

Connection latency between all regions: https://wondernetwork.com/pings

The peering degree will be set as a static value in this measurement, similar to the approach used in Blend: Latency / Bandwidth Dynamics, to simplify the interpretation of the results.
