The Logos Blockchain is a blockchain infrastructure that functions as the foundational layer of the Logos technology stack. It is designed to host decentralised applications and institutions requiring high levels of privacy and resilience. The network is designed with low entry barriers, allowing nodes to participate with typical consumer hardware and any amount of stake.
The Logos Blockchain is designed as a Layer 1 “Bedrock” foundation which includes Cryptarchia consensus and a minimal execution layer known as Mantle. Specialised Services such as the Blend Network are used to improve the functionality of the blockchain. Lightweight, customisable Layer 2 blockchains known as Zones are built on top of this foundation and act as execution environments for Logos applications.
