Introduction

As the node advances development we consider that we can use VAC’s QA team to help us test the node further.

We need to ensure a clear plan on how perform the teams collaboration.

What do Nomos team need?

The nomos node is compound of different ever-updating components which are tested locally (unittested) as much as possible. The nomos node devs are responsible for testing the components and sub-components in an isolated fashion.

There are also some integration tests for testing the nomos node as an entity itself as part of a nomos network. But this has been just for some specific generic cases.

As the specifications grows, features are added and new situations and corner cases bubbles up the need for further and deeper testing arises.

There is a strong need for:

• A testing plan that transforms the different nomos specifications into a set of behavior test for the node and its different interactions (consensus, mixnet, da, cl, etc).
• A framework to put this test sets in place in an idiomatic and simple way.
• Integration with current CI
