What are our true advantages by using Blend Network? In practical terms, and with numbers (such as what you calculated before for stake privacy, but also for node proposal unlinkability).

The main objective of the Blend Network is to reduce the probability of linking a sender with the proposal, which also translates to increasing the time of learning the node (relative) stake.

Without the Blend Network, the linkage happens instantly as the proposal is directly broadcast by the sender. Then the time of learning the node stake depends solely on the confidence, which is increasing with time of the network observation.

Without the Blend Network:

Assuming: 1% relative stake, 10% adversaries, and stake inference confidence 60%:

• Time to link a node to the proposal is: instant.
• Time to infer the stake of a node is: 0.32 epochs.

Assuming: 0.1% relative stake, 10% adversaries, and stake inference confidence 60%:

• Time to link a node to the proposal is: instant.
• Time to infer the stake of a node is: 3.2 epochs.

Assuming: 0.01% relative stake, 10% adversaries, and stake inference confidence 60%:

• Time to link a node to the proposal is: instant
• Time to infer the stake of a node is: 32 epochs.

With the Blend Network (assuming 1 hop):

Assuming: 1% relative stake, 10% adversaries, and stake inference confidence 60%:

• Time to link a node to the proposal with more than 50% probability is: at least 0.09 epoch.
