Light Node

For users verifying the network with minimal resources.

• CPU: Low-power processor (e.g., capable of running on smartphones or single-board computers).
• Memory (RAM): 512Mb.
• Storage: Minimal (few GB).
• Network: Relatively reliable network connection. 1Mbps of free bandwidth.

Basic Bedrock Node (Validator)

For participants in Bedrock consensus using typical consumer hardware.

• CPU: 2 Cores, 2Ghz. Modern multi-core processor.
• Memory (RAM): Minimal (1 Gb).
• Storage: SSD with 100+ GB free with ability to expand storage on demand.
• Network: Relatively reliable network connection. 1Mbps of free bandwidth.

Bedrock Node + Services (Optional)

For participants running optional Bedrock Services (Data Availability, Blend Protocol, Executor Network) or generating proofs. Participating in these services requires more resources than a basic validator. Specific requirements for each service are detailed below.

Data Availability (DA) Service Requirements

Nodes participating in the Nomos DA Service, storing and serving data shares.

• CPU: Same as Basic Bedrock Node.
• Memory (RAM): Same as Basic Bedrock Node.
